However, the success of SRP is limited by its inability to eradicate all periodontal pathogens and by the challenge of accessing deeper pockets.1 Therefore, periodontal pockets are at high risk of bacterial recolonization, potentially negating the results of SRP within only 2-3 months after treatment.1

When can you use Pocket-X® Gel?
Pocket-X® Gel is a subgingival treatment to improve the healing of the gingiva and to inhibit bacterial recolonization in the periodontal pocket.3
You can make it a part of your routine periodontal treatment program:
- As an adjunct to SRP in initial periodontal therapy
- During supportive periodontal care (maintenance phase)

The science behind Pocket-X® Gel
Conclusions from a randomized prospective clinical study with 34 patients with stage 3 periodontitis (split-mouth design).2
Test group: SRP combined with Pocket-X® Gel. Pocket-X® Gel was applied immediately after SRP and 1 month later.2
Control group: SRP only, no additional treatment.2
